Dancing to stories

The Carolyn Dorfman Dance Company brings its "Dance/Stories," which integrates dance, music and storytelling in a rendering of folk tales from around the world, to the Gordon Center for Performing Arts on Sunday and Monday.

The New Jersey-based contemporary dance ensemble's performance features the storytelling of Charlotte Blake Alston. Baltimore native Robin Shevitz is the company's associate artistic director as well as a dancer.

The performances at the Gordon Center, 3506 Gwynnbrook Ave. in Owings Mills, are Sunday at 3 p.m. and Monday at 11 a.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $7 for children 12 and under. Call (410) 481-SEAT for tickets for (410) 356-SHOW for information.
