Windows broken at elementary school in NW Baltimore

December 03, 1996|BY A SUN STAFF WRITER

Vandals broke into a Northwest Baltimore elementary school early yesterday and broke the windows in every first-floor classroom, school officials said.

School police responded to a silent alarm at Edgecombe Circle Elementary School in the 2800 block of Virginia Ave. shortly after 2 a.m. and found the damage but did not find anyone inside, police and school officials said.

The glass from windows in every classroom door had been broken, some of the rooms were ransacked and some equipment in classrooms had been damaged. It was not clear whether property had been taken.
