New positions

Bancroft names Williams vice president of marketing

Bancroft Press has named Julie Williams vice president of marketing. She will oversee the marketing of trade books produced by the Mount Washington publishing house.

Previously, she was an editor with Ottenheimer Publishers of Pikesville. She is a journalism graduate of Ohio University and resides in Baltimore, where she is active in local arts organizations.

Kornick, O'Brien join TV 33 in Harford County

Comcast Cablevision has appointed Victoria Kornick and Bonnie O'Brien as account executives at its Harford County-based "Photo Classified Channel": TV 33.

Kornick, a Harford County resident, was previously with the ad department of the Harford Impulse. She is an active member of several community, professional and charitable organizations. O'Brien was formerly a real estate loan originator with an area bank and was originally assigned to ad sales at Comcast's TV 53 for Baltimore-Howard counties. She is active with the Boys and Girls Club of Aberdeen.

Niermann hired to direct marketing at Companion Life

Companion Life Insurance Co. has hired William A. Niermann Jr. as director of group marketing. A specialist in employee benefits, he will be responsible for developing new business with brokers, administrators and Blue Cross-Blue Shield plans in the mid-Atlantic and Northeast. A Baltimore native, Niermann is a graduate of the University of Miami.

Sass & Associates, of Annapolis and New York, has added Saudia Gajadhar to its staff as an account manager. She will be responsible for marketing supervision of several athletic footwear, outdoor wear and sports equipment accounts. She was formerly an account supervisor with Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising, where she handled several brand accounts of Johnson & Johnson and also trained account executives and assistants.

A one-time resident of the Virgin Islands, Gajadhar lives in Annapolis and is a Northwestern University graduate with a master's degree in marketing communications.

Professional

Moreland appointed to RTKL as chief financial officer

RTKL Associates, Baltimore-based international architects, announced the appointment of Kenneth V. Moreland as chief financial officer. Previously, he was a client service partner with Coopers & Lybrand and participated in a fellowship program with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The West Friendship resident is a business graduate of Towson State University and serves on the TSU accounting department advisory board. Moreland also is active with the American Lung Association on state and national levels.

Neale named coordinator of Henry Adams marketing

Henry Adams Inc., a mechanical and electrical engineering firm based in Towson, has appointed Shirley A. Neale marketing coordinator. Neale will have primary responsibility for business devel- opment in the areas of health care, laboratory and public ++ facilities.

A graduate of Towson State University, Neale is active in the Society for Marketing Professional Services and is on the organization's scholarship committee.
