Outlook: Maryland is shooting for its first Final Four appearance, but has to get past the second-seeded defending national champions. The Terps have posted shutouts against their two tournament opponents; the Fighting Irish have scored 13 goals. The Terps are 2-2-1 against ranked opponents this season. Forwards Emmy Harbo (21 goals, four assists) and Keri Sarver (16, 15) must put pressure on Notre Dame's defense for the Terps to have a chance. G Missy Price ranks eighth in the nation in goals against average (0.62). Notre Dame F Holly Manthei, the nation's leader in assists (39), has started a third of the Irish's games.
