3 arrested in drug raid in Finksburg Suspects sold marijuana at motel, police allege

A Baltimore man and woman arrested in a drug raid Wednesday at a Finksburg motel are free on $25,000 bail, court records show.

A 15-year-old boy also was arrested by the Carroll County Sheriff's Drug Strike Force and was turned over to juvenile authorities.

According to charging documents, an undercover deputy arranged to buy a pound of marijuana for $1,350 from one of the suspects during conversations Monday and Tuesday. The purchase was set for Wednesday at the motel.

The suspects arrived at the motel at 7: 20 p.m. and were taken into custody after the money was counted and exchanged for a pound of marijuana, police said.

Police also said the boy tried to reach for a loaded 9 mm pistol in his coat pocket during the drug buy.

Arrested were Frederick N. Boston Jr., 25, of White Marsh and Jennifer Lynn Mangano, 18, of Overlea, according to court records.

Boston faces charges of using a firearm in the trafficking of marijuana, conspiracy to manufacture and distribute marijuana, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, hiring a minor to distribute marijuana, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Mangano faces charges of using a firearm in the trafficking of marijuana, conspiring to manufacture and distribute marijuana, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, maintaining a common nuisance to distribute marijuana, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The juvenile was not identified because of his age.
