Tri-Churches Housing will offer seminar on homebuying

Tri-Churches Housing, a nonprofit partnership of Pigtown and Washington Village churches, will offer a seminar for first-time, low- and middle-income homebuyers from 6: 30 p.m. to 8: 30 p.m. Thursday in the lower hall of St. Jerome's Head Start Center, 765 W. Hamburg St.

Seminar topics include a broad look at the homebuying process, information about special homebuying programs and an introduction to the free counseling services offered by Tri-Churches.

After attending the seminar, participants are eligible to attend free homebuyer classes offered by Tri-Churches and area lenders. The next round of classes is scheduled for Jan. 16, 23 and 30 at the Head Start Center.

Meeting will address home inspection issues

The Mid Atlantic Chapter of the National Association of Home Inspectors and the Maryland Association of Home Inspectors will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at 1993 Moreland Parkway, Suite 204, Annapolis.

There is no fee to attend the meeting, at which legal issues affecting the home inspection industry will be discussed.

Both nonprofit groups seek to promote professionalism and continuing education among their members.
