November 29, 1996

Opponent: Atlanta Hawks

Site: The Omni, Atlanta

Time: 7:30

TV/Radio: Ch. 50/WWRC (980 AM)

Outlook: G Mookie Blaylock (16.2 ppg) missed four games with a sprained ankle, but returned Tuesday and should play tonight. An ankle injury has also limited G Steve Smith (19.2 ppg), but he's hopeful for tonight. With the injuries the Hawks have managed an 8-7 record, and are 3-1 at home. F Christian Laettner (18.5 ppg, 8.3 rpg) and C Dikembe Mutombo (11.9 ppg, 11.4 rpg, 3.1 rpg) have helped Atlanta survive the injuries. The Bullets, off since Monday, have won three straight. F Chris Webber (19.3 ppg, 10.3 rpg), F Juwan Howard (18.2 ppg, 8.8 rpg) and G Rod Strickland (14.7 ppg, 7.4 rpg) lead a Washington team that has shown improvement over the past week in winning four of its past five.
