Today's TV

There are no prizes for correct answers -- you won't win a last-second free turkey or anything -- but here's today's pop-culture pop quiz. One of tonight's TV offerings is a special called "Disney's 101 Dalmations: A Canine's Tale." The not-so-tough question is, which network is showing it? If you guessed ABC, the one owned by Disney, you've hit the spot. All 101 of them.

"Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade" (9 a.m.-noon, WBAL, Channel 11) -- For my money, this is the only Thanksgiving Day parade in town -- especially if the town is New York City. And where else, outside of a swimming hole for cartoon meese, can you see a Bullwinkle float? NBC.

"NFL football" (4 p.m.-conclusion, WBFF, Channel 45) -- Watching the Dallas Cowboys play on Thanksgiving Day is an NFL tradition, but this season the Cowboys are just as likely to have the stuffing kicked out of them. This year's holiday opponent: the Washington Redskins. Fox.

"My Fair Lady" (7: 30 p.m.-11 p.m., WJZ, Channel 13) -- Actually, with a fully restored print and an unedited broadcast, this is more like "My Gorgeous Lady." Audrey Hepburn and Rex Harrison star. CBS.

"Home Alone" (8 p.m.-10 p.m., WBAL, Channel 11) -- This is one of many TV presentations shown on Thanksgiving night that are built around a Christmas theme. I don't understand it. Then again, I never understood the appeal of this 1990 comedy, or of Macauley Culkin, in the first place. NBC.

"Disney's 101 Dalmations: A Canine's Tale" (8: 30 p.m.-9 p.m., WMAR, Channel 2) -- This backstage special will explain a lot about how the live-action "101 Dalmations" was made. Do not, however, expect a look at the marketing meeting where everybody decided which spotted toys, towels, lunchboxes and other junk to endorse. ABC.

Cable

"How the Grinch Stole Christmas" (8: 05 p.m.-8: 35 p.m., TBS) -- On Thanksgiving night, the first official Christmas special of 1996. A repeat, of course.

"A Christmas Story" (8: 35 p.m.-10: 45 p.m., TBS) -- On Thanksgiving night, the second official Christmas special of 1996. A repeat, of course.

"Howard the Duck" (2 a.m.-4: 30 a.m. tomorrow, TNT) -- On Thanksgiving night, very late at night, the biggest official TV turkey of the evening.
