Tickets: A limited number are available for selected home games. Call (800) 462-TERP.

Best home game: North Carolina, Feb. 22. Terps will look to avenge last year's last-second defeat.

Best visiting player: Tim Duncan, Wake Forest, Feb. 1. Demon Deacons center is preseason national Player of the Year.

Outlook: After losing four seniors, the Terps have been picked to finish near the bottom of the ACC. Though Gary Williams' team lacks size and depth, it is not devoid of talent. Senior forward Keith Booth (Dunbar) is an all-ACC candidate, and sophomore guards Laron Profit and Terrell Stokes should help overcome the loss of Johnny Rhodes and Duane Simpkins. Profit could see time at three positions -- shooting guard, small forward and point guard -- with the development of junior Sarunas Jasikevicius and the lack of front-line frontcourt players. But the key to the season could be the play of sophomore center Obinna Ekezie, considering that junior forward Rodney Elliott (Dunbar) is the only other proven player over 6-7 coming back.
