Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Eastern District

Shooting: A 21-year-old man was shot in the head by a man he was talking to yesterday in the 2100 block of Henneman St. The victim was in fair condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital. A known suspect was being sought.

Southern District

Arrests: At least 17 men and women were arrested Monday night and charged with soliciting for sex along Fourth Street in Brooklyn. Police acted after residents complained. Several of the men arrested were from the surrounding counties or out of state.

Central District

Burglary: A 21-inch television valued at $400 was stolen from Faith Tabernacle Christian Church in the 1600 block of Druid Hill Ave. between Sunday and yesterday.

Theft from vehicle: A compact disc player and 25 compact discs, all valued at $800, were stolen Tuesday from a 1991 Jeep Cherokee parked in the first block of E. Read St. yesterday.

Northeastern District

Burglary: Two cellular phones and nearly $400 were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 3600 block of Kenyon Ave.

Robbery: A man was in the 1200 block of Gleneagle Road on Tuesday when two men, one with a large caliber handgun, robbed him of the boots he was wearing. The boots were valued at more than $100.

Burglary: Property valued at more than $300 was stolen Tuesday from a house in the 3000 block of Southern Ave.

Stolen car: A 1991 Dodge with temporary tags 79191 was stolen Tuesday in the 1600 block of Waverly Way.

Robbery: A gunman robbed a man of more than $50 in the 4300 block of Sheldon Ave. on Tuesday.

Northern District

Theft: An 88-year-old man was talking to a woman in the 3500 block of St. Paul St. on Tuesday when she removed a wallet from his pants pocket.

Theft: A 25-inch television was stolen from the pediatric section at Sinai Hospital in the 2400 block of W. Belvedere Ave. on Tuesday.

Theft from vehicle: A mountain bike valued at $600 was stolen from a truck parked in the first block of E. 30th St. on Tuesday.

Robbery: A man was talking on an outside telephone in the 3300 block of Greenmount Ave. on Tuesday when another man, who implied he had a handgun, robbed him of more than $100.

Western District

Carjacking: A woman was about to enter a building in the 1800 block of Moreland Ave. on Tuesday when a man robbed her of her keys and drove off in her 1994 Toyota with New York tags R9G871.

Theft from vehicle: A cellular phone valued at $100 was stolen Tuesday from a 1988 Oldsmobile parked in the 1600 block of Retreat St.

Robbery: A woman was in the 700 block of George St. on Tuesday when a gunman robbed her of nearly $200.

Robbery: A 35-year-old employee of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People was in the 2400 block of Reisterstown Road Tuesday when a man robbed her of a carrying bag with NAACP emblazoned on it. The bag, valued at $30, contained $60 and property.

North Point Precinct

Theft: A videocassette recorder and other property, all valued at $700, were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 2500 block of Old North Point Road.

Burglary: Police were seeking the person who entered a house in the 7600 block of North Point Blvd. stole a videocassette recorder. Later, the property was found outside the house.

Towson Precinct

Robbery: A gunman robbed the Super Fresh in the 900 block of Taylor Ave. on Tuesday.

Burglary: A camera, stereo equipment and other property were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 500 block of Goucher Blvd.
