Three vehicles involved in accident along Route 175

Three vehicles were involved in a midmorning accident yesterday along Route 175 in Columbia's Long Reach village, a spokesman for the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue said.

The accident occurred about 8: 30 a.m. as three vehicles traveled westbound along Route 175 between Tamar Road and Thunder Hill Road, said Lt. Sean Kelly, a fire department spokesman.

Neither the Department of Fire and Rescue nor the Police Department would release further information.

Long Reach: 5700 block of Flag Flower Place: Someone tried to break into an unoccupied house between Nov. 1 and Saturday by lifting the patio door off its track.

Long Reach: 5200 block of Pine Bark Court: Someone tried to enter a house between Friday and Sunday afternoon by removing the window screen to the garage. No entry was made.

Oakland Mills: 6000 block of Stevens Forest Road: Someone broke a window of the Stevens Forest Elementary School on Saturday morning, but no entry appeared to have been made.

Long Reach: 5300 block of Old Stone Court: Someone broke into the Phelps Luck Elementary School on Saturday morning by shattering a vent window. The property was ransacked.

Kings Contrivance: 8300 block of Early April Way: A brown four-door 1993 Dodge Shadow was stolen Saturday evening. The Pennsylvania license number is AXG2392.
