November 17, 1996

County police with a search-and-seizure warrant barged into a Pasadena home early yesterday and arrested a 21-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman on charges of possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, authorities reported.

Police said 19 small plastic bags of crack cocaine packed in a larger plastic bag were found between the mattresses on which the suspects had been lying.

The 62 grams of cocaine were estimated to have a street value of $6,200. Police also reported seizing $1,311.

Arrested were Robert S. Helmick Jr. and Angela Lynn Price, residents of the home in the 700 block of 202nd St., police said.

Helmick was being held without bail last night at the county jail, while Price was released on $2,500 bail.
