11-year-old escapes pair who threatened to rob him

An 11-year-old boy was accosted in Columbia by two other juveniles who threatened to take his money Wednesday afternoon, but the youngster was able to escape unharmed, Howard County police said yesterday.

The boy was in the 5000 block of Cedar Lane in Harper's Choice village when two other boys got off bicycles they were riding and asked for his money, a police report said.

Police said the boy fled on foot. An investigation is continuing.
