Health inspectors temporarily close 3 establishments

County health inspectors visited 143 restaurants and food handling businesses between Oct. 16 and 31 to monitor sanitary and physical conditions.

Three establishments were ordered closed temporarily for emergency repairs:

Remington's of Laurel, 3300 block of Fort Meade Road, Laurel. Closed Oct. 18 for unsatisfactory water supply. Reopened same day.

Swamp Circle, 5400 block of Shady Side Road, West River. Closed Oct. 22 for unsatisfactory water supply. Reopened same day with limited service.

Catlett's Amoco, 500 block of W. Central Ave., Davidsonville. Closed Oct. 23 for unsatisfactory water supply. Reopened same day for limited service.

Fourteen businesses were cited for food safety violations: Royal Farm Store, 500 block of Benfield Road, Severna Park. Food not held at proper temperature.

Sam's Club, 3500 block of Russett Green, Laurel. Food not held at proper temperature.

Kentucky Fried Chicken, 500 block of Ritchie Highway, Severna Park. Food not held at proper temperature. Reinspection required.

Little Caesars at Kmart, 8000 block of Jumpers Hole Road, Pasadena. Food not adequately cooked or reheated; food not held at proper temperature. Reinspection required.

Love of Your Life, Baltimore-Washington International Airport, Linthicum. Food not adequately cooked or reheated; food not held at proper temperature. Reinspection required.

Quiet Waters Cafe, Quiet Waters Park Lane, Annapolis. Food not properly cooled.

Romano's Restaurant, 6900 block of Ritchie Highway, Glen Burnie. Food not properly cooled; food not held at proper temperature.

Canton Restaurant, first block of Ridgely Ave., Annapolis. Food not held at proper temperature. Reinspection required.

Eastport Clipper, 400 block of Sixth St., Annapolis. Food not properly cooled.

Surfside 7 Restaurant and Bar, first block of South River Road, Edgewater. Food not held at proper temperature. Reinspection required.

U.S. Air Club No. 1, Baltimore-Washington International Airport, Linthicum. Food not held at proper temperature.

Crownsville Convenience Store, 500 block of Defense Highway, Annapolis. Food not held at proper temperature. Reinspection required.
