Transportation association to meet in Annapolis

Annapolis Regional Transportation Management Association will hold its annual symposium, "Transportation and Economic Development in Annapolis," at the Loews Annapolis Hotel from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. today.

Speakers include Neil Shpritz, executive director of the BWI Business Partnership, and Joseph Steller, real estate adviser to the Maryland Department of Transportation.

President Dean Johnson will give a brief synopsis of association projects in Annapolis. The meeting is open to the public.

Breakfast will be served, but space is limited. Cost is $20 for members, $25 for nonmembers.

Home-based business group to discuss legal liabilities

The county chapter of the Maryland Homebased Business Association will meet from 7: 30 a.m. to 9 a.m. today at Anne Arundel Community College in Arnold.

The topic is "Legal Liabilities: Protecting You and Your Business." The cost for the breakfast meeting is $15 for members, $25 for nonmembers and $40 for corporate guests. The cost at the door is $5 more.

The chapter, a not-for-profit group, holds breakfasts the second Thursday of each month.

Spalding High deadline for citrus orders is Monday

Archbishop Spalding High School is accepting citrus orders. The fruit is packed in two-fifths of a bushel and four-fifths cartons.

The deadline is Monday. Orders may be picked up at the school between 9 a.m. and noon Nov. 23.

Extension service to offer free class on healthy eating

The Cooperative Extension Service will offer a free class, "Eating Healthy During the Holidays," from 10 a.m. to noon today at Arundel Center North, Room 307, 101 Crain Highway N.W., Glen Burnie. Information: 222-6758.
