Two brothers charged in weapons, drug case

November 14, 1996|BY A SUN STAFF WRITER

Two brothers were arrested yesterday after city police pursued one of them into their Walbrook Junction home and found weapons and marijuana.

Officer Peter Sullivan said that when he saw a suspected drug deal at about 5 p.m. in the 2200 block of Garrison Blvd., the suspected seller ran into his home on the street.

Police entered the house, got permission from the owner to search it and found a 9 mm handgun, two revolvers, three Molotov cocktails, a half-pound of marijuana, $605 and drug paraphernalia.

Sullivan said Kinta Gibbs, 18, and Wil Gibbs, 21, were each charged with illegal possession of handguns and explosive devices, and drug violations. Similar charges were pending against a 17-year-old boy, he said.
