Schools plan screenings for vision, hearing

County Department of Health vision and hearing technicians and school nurses are conducting screenings in public schools for children in preschool, kindergarten, third and eighth grades and for students new to Anne Arundel schools.

Special education students receiving speech therapy also may be recommended for screening. If the child wears glasses, the child should take them to school the day of the screening.

Today: St. Mary's School, Old Mill Middle North, Linthicum Elementary; Tomorrow: Grandma's House -- Meade Village.

Tomorrow: Old Mill Middle South, Brooklyn Park Elementary, Park Elementary.

Monday: Grandma's House in Robinwood, Deale Elementary.

Monday and Tuesday: Marley Middle.

Tuesday: Parole Elementary, Little V.I.P. Learning Center.

Nov. 20: Wiley H. Bates Middle, Glendale Elementary.

Nov. 20 and 21: Children's World in Arnold.

Nov. 21 and 22: Annapolis Middle, George Fox Middle.

Nov. 25 and 26: St. Anne's Day School and Wonder Years in Churchton.
