Police to enforce 25 mph speed limit on Obrecht Road

November 11, 1996

Motorists who tend to speed along Obrecht Road through Sykesville to Route 32 should note new reflective signs, which post the speed limit at 25 mph, police said.

"We are using radar and strictly enforcing the speed limit," said Sykesville Police Chief Wallace Mitchell.

Several businesses have donated a radar unit to the Police Department.

The unit, which can be attached to police vehicles, flashes the speed of passing motorists.
