Sinai Hospital expects to break ground Dec. 2 for a new Women's Medical Care Center at Towson.

The 11,000-square-foot center, which will be leased, will replace a smaller set of offices in Belvedere Square.

The new center, at 7300 York Road, will offer obstetrics/gynecology, internal medicine, psychology and pediatrics. It is expected to open next spring.

Based in Northwest Baltimore, Sinai has developed a number of suburban outpatient centers in recent years.

Sinai WellBridge in Pikesville includes a health club. In August, the hospital broke ground for a 26,000-square-foot Eldersburg Regional Medical Center in Carroll County that includes a walk-in clinic.

The Eldersburg center will be a few blocks from a similar center being developed by Carroll County General Hospital.

The new Towson site is a few blocks from St. Joseph Medical Center and also is near Greater Baltimore Medical Center.

Sinai also has offices or physician practices in the Rotunda, Mount Washington, Owings Mills, Reisterstown, Timonium and Westminster.
