Masked gunman robs gas station on Crain Highway

A masked man robbed a Glen Burnie gas station of an undisclosed amount of money Wednesday, county police said.

A clerk at the Mobil gas station in the 7900 block of Crain Highway called police shortly before midnight to report that a man armed with a gun and wearing a ski mask had walked into the store and demanded money.

The clerk handed over money, and the man fled, police said. Police did not have a description of the bandit.

Sixth-grader gets role in 'Nutcracker' production

Stephanie Moore, a sixth-grader at Marley Middle School, will appear in Ballet Theatre of Annapolis' annual production of "The Nutcracker" during five performances at Maryland Hall in Annapolis next month.

Stephanie, 10, will appear as a soldier.

The production will be performed at 8 p.m. Dec. 7 and Dec. 14; 2 p.m. Dec. 14; and 3 p.m. Dec. 8 and Dec. 15.

Tickets are $18 for adults and $10 for children age 14 and younger. Group discounts are available, and all seats can be reserved by credit card orders over the phone.
