Terps women break school record with 17th victory Harbo gets her 20th goal in 4-1 victory over Georgia

Sophomore Emmy Harbo scored her 20th goal of the season to lead No. 11 Maryland past host Georgia, 4-1, in women's college soccer yesterday.

The Terps' 17th win established a program record in a regular xTC season. Maryland (17-3-2) took a 1-0 lead at the 37-minute mark of the first half on senior forward Naomi Reale's goal. Harbo scored her 20th goal at the 48-minute mark of the second half. Keri Sarver and Emily Janss also scored.

Navy 4, West Virginia 0: Cori Thornton scored two goals in the first 15 minutes yesterday to power Navy past host West Virginia in the Mids' regular-season finale in Morgantown.

Navy (11-4-2) finished with a school record for wins in a season.

Mount St. Mary's 4, Canisius 1: Lacey Morley had a goal and an assist, as host Mount St. Mary's (6-5) defeated Canisius (5-5).

Men

Navy 3, Bucknell 1: Sophomore Stephen Earl's goal at 66: 33 of the second half broke a 1-1 tie and helped boost the Mids to a season-finale win over host Bucknell in Lewisburg, Pa.

Navy (9-8-1, 3-3) propelled itself into the Patriot League tournament.

Frostburg State 11, Columbia Union 0: Stewart Bazzana scored twice and had three assists, as visiting Frostburg State (12-3-1) shut out Columbia Union in Takoma Park.

Pete Merrill (North County) and Ben Sipola had two goals each.
