Pasadena woman to head AACC therapist program

A Pasadena woman has been appointed director of Anne Arundel Community College's physical therapist assistant program.

Penelope J. Lescher, a certified physical therapist working in the field for 20 years, will oversee the new program, which awards an associate of applied science degree after two years of study.

She was a therapist for Interim Health Care of Lutherville, a clinical coordinator of physical therapy at Bon Secours Hospital in Baltimore, and has worked as staff physical therapist for North Arundel Hospital, Severna Park Physical Therapy Inc. and the county Department of Health.

Lescher, a 1976 graduate of the Leeds School of Physiotherapy in England, is pursuing a master's degree at the College of Notre Dame in Baltimore.
