November 02, 1996|By FROM STAFF REPORTS

The Maryland State Department of Education is calling on city JTC school employees, students and their parents to participate in a public forum on testing policy.

Baltimore educators and residents will help officials from the Department of Education and representatives from the College Board and the Educational Testing Service shape statewide tests that will measure the effectiveness of city schools and the skills and abilities of students. The tests will replace the Maryland Functional Tests.

The forum will be at 7 p.m. Monday at Polytechnic Institute, 1400 W. Cold Spring Lane.
