Fantasy watch

November 01, 1996

Some tips this week for fantasy football players:

Players to keep

QB Vinny Testaverde, Ravens: Has thrown three or more TD passes in each of his past four games.

RB Jerome Bettis, Steelers: Should record his seventh 100-yard game of the season against his former team, the Rams, who allow an average of 119.1 yards on the ground.

RB Eddie George, Oilers: Look for the Oilers to run against the Seahawks, who hold opponents to 190.0 passing yards per game.

WR Carl Pickens, Bengals: Should be active against the Ravens, who are giving up 20 completions per game.

Players to sit down

WR Irving Fryar, Eagles: Might not touch the ball often since the Cowboys had six sacks and two interceptions against the Eagles on Sept. 30.

RB Terry Allen, Redskins: Due for a subpar game and faces the NFL's seventh-best defense against the rush in the Bills.
