Howard County police arrested two men yesterday after a woman had her purse stolen as she loaded groceries into her car at the Giant Food store in the Dorsey Hall Village Center.

Tony Lamont Nipper, 40, address unknown, and Courtney Harris, 36, of the 6000 block of Major's Lane in Jeffers Hill, each were charged with robbery, two counts of assault, two counts of theft and credit card misuse, according to police charging documents.

About 1 p.m., the victim and a friend were loading their car in the parking lot when a man grabbed the victim's purse, police said. The man ran to a waiting van, which was intercepted by store security personnel.
