A man wearing a "Casper the Friendly Ghost" mask robbed a Westminster convenience store at gunpoint at 6 p.m. Sunday before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of money, police said yesterday.
The gunman was described as slender and about 5 feet 5 inches tall. He wore a brown, knee-length coat and had short dark hair, graying at the temples, and spoke with a Spanish accent, police said.
The High's store is in the 200 block of E. Green St.

Westminster: Firefighters from Reese assisted Westminster at 7: 46 p.m. Friday, responding to an alarm in the 400 block of Oak Hill Court. Units were out 20 minutes.

Westminster: A resident of Woodbine told police Sunday that someone broke a window in his Chevrolet Blazer in the first block of Carrollview Ave. Damage was estimated at $500.
Westminster: Employees of a West Main Street pawn shop told police Saturday that someone broke a store window. Damage was estimated at $400.
Westminster: A woman told police that someone stole her purse from a fast-food restaurant on Sullivan Road at 11: 30 a.m. Friday. The loss was estimated at $407.
Westminster: Owners of Carroll Gardens Inc., an East Main Street landscaping business, told police two sheets of plastic were stolen between 6 p.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. Thursday. The loss was estimated at $450.
