Man with pistol robs High's store in Sykesville

An armed man robbed a Sykesville convenience store and fled with an undisclosed amount of money Sunday, police said.

The gunman, described as in his 20s, walked into the High's rTC store in the 1200 block of Liberty Road about 6: 20 p.m., brandished a pistol and demanded money from the clerk, police said.


Sykesville: Firefighters from Lisbon and West Friendship assisted Sykesville at 9: 29 p.m. Saturday on an apartment fire on Bethway Drive. Units were out 23 minutes.

Gamber: Firefighters from Reese assisted Gamber at 9: 28 p.m. Sunday on a house fire in the 1600 block of Nicodemus Road. Units were out 22 minutes.
