West Gate

A pond and a stream run through West Gate, the Bel Air community where Brockton Homes is building "Jewel Series" houses: Amethyst, Diamond, Emerald, Ruby, Sapphire and Topaz. Gas heat is standard in the 155-lot subdivision in Harford County.

The Emerald, a 3,000-square-foot traditional starting at $264,900, the model. It comes with 9-foot first-floor ceilings, a gas fireplace in the family room, hardwood flooring in the foyer, a brick front and a brick mailbox.

Flanking the two-story foyer are a 12-by-11-foot library and an 11-by-12-foot dining room. The first floor also has a 12-by-13-foot living room, 24-by-15-foot dual-level family room, 16-by-14-foot kitchen, 7-by-10-foot breakfast area, laundry and powder rooms and two-car garage.
