One Accord rallies to win My Juliet Stakes

One Accord rallied from fifth place to score a 1 1/2 -length victory yesterday over Lucy Ellen in the $56,475 My Juliet Stakes for fillies and mares at Pimlico Race Course.

Trained by Bud Delp, One Accord won her fourth straight victory guided by jockey Mark Johnston.

One Accord ran the six furlongs in 1 minute, 11 seconds and paid $25.80, $12.40 and $13.40.

Lucy Ellen paid $5.80 and $3.60, and Two Punch Lil paid $10.20 to show.

Edgar Prado, second with Lucy Ellen, rode five winners yesterday, boosting his total for the meeting to 58, most among jockeys.

NOTES: The deadline for pre-entries to the 11th running of the Maryland Million is Wednesday.

A horse must be pre-entered by then to qualify as a starter for the Maryland Million races, Oct. 12 at Laurel.

Pre-entries will be taken at Pimlico.
