Westminster man released after drug arrest

A Westminster man was released without bail after being arrested on drug charges during a police raid of his residence Friday.

Glen E. Hadden, 31, of the 600 block of Windsor Drive was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.

Glendening appoints lawyer to criminal justice board

Damian L. Halstad, a Westminster lawyer, has been appointed by Gov. Parris N. Glendening to the Maryland Criminal Justice Information Advisory Board.

The board oversees the collection and release of criminal records by the courts and assists the secretary of public safety and the Court of Appeals in statistical analysis of crime.

Halstad is a partner in the law firm of Hoffman, Comfort, Galloway & Offutt. He also is a Westminster councilman.


Westminster: Firefighters from Reese assisted Westminster at 10: 11 a.m. Friday, responding to a natural gas leak at Englar Road and John Street. Units were out 17 minutes.
