Puppy repeatedly shot in neck with pellet gun

Someone shot a Doberman Pinscher puppy at least 85 times in the neck with a pellet gun Tuesday, county police said.

Christina M. Noss, 37, of the 1300 block of Ritchie Highway in Arnold found her dog bleeding from the neck at about 1 p.m. She took it to Arnold Veterinarian Hospital, where the pellets were removed. Noss called police about 9 p.m.

Noss told police she has received complaints about the dog barking. Police were unable to find any witnesses to the incident.
