Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Northeastern District

Burglary: A videocassette recorder valued at more than $200 was stolen Wednesday from a house in the 1700 block of Jackfisher Court.

Robbery: Two men, one with a shotgun, robbed a woman of cash and property, all valued at more than $400, near her home in the 4900 block of Todd Ave. on Wednesday.

Robbery try: A man was in the 5800 block of Schering Road on Wednesday when two men, one with a handgun, demanded his money. When the victim backed away, the pair fled.

Robbery: Two men, one with a sawed-off shotgun, robbed a man of cash and property, all valued at nearly $200, in the 5400 block of Cedonia Ave. on Wednesday.

Northern District

Theft: A 20-inch bike valued at $400 was stolen Wednesday in the 900 block of W. 36th St.

Theft: Building materials valued at more than $1,000 were stolen Wednesday from Central Building Supply Co. in the 3900 block of Buena Vista Ave.

Theft from vehicle: A 21-inch television valued at more than $200 was stolen Wednesday from a 1986 Volvo parked in the 2000 block of N. Calvert St.

Northwestern District

Carjacking: A motorist was parked in the 5800 block of Reisterstown Road on Wednesday when two men, one with a handgun, forced him out of his 1992 Acura with tags CXW 441 and drove off.

Robbery: A woman was walking in the 4000 block of Reisterstown Road on Wednesday when a man struck her over the head with an unknown weapon and robbed her of $10. The woman was treated at Sinai Hospital.

Western District

Robbery: A Watkins Security officer was in the 900 block of N. Fremont Ave. on Wednesday when a gunman robbed him of his gun belt, .38-caliber Smith & Wesson revolver with serial number 00670, two pairs of handcuffs, pepper spray and nightstick.

Southwestern District

Officer shot at: Baltimore County police Officer Michael Smith was driving his patrol car west in the 4000 block of Edmondson Ave. in the city Wednesday when he heard three gunshots. After driving another block, Smith got out of the vehicle and found a large caliber bullet hole in the car's right front quarter panel.

Burglary: A television and jewelry, all valued at more than $1,000, were stolen Wednesday from a house in the 100 block of N. Denison St.

Burglary: Electronic equipment valued at more than $1,500 was stolen Wednesday from a house in the 4200 block of Old Frederick Road.

Towson Precinct

Burglary: Two bikes with a combined value of $500 were stolen Wednesday from a garage in the 8500 block of Drumwood Road.

North Point Precinct

Robbery: After a man paid for a soft drink at Papa John's Pizza in the 7500 block of Holabird Ave. on Wednesday, he reached over the counter when the clerk opened the cash register and stole more than $30.

Robbery try: A 15-year-old boy was walking in the 1900 block of Harrison Road on Wednesday when a boy tried to steal his book bag. When the victim resisted, the other boy fled.

Theft: A 20-inch chrome bike valued at $300 was stolen Wednesday in the 1400 block of Merritt Blvd.
