Fantasy watch

September 27, 1996

Some tips this week for fantasy football players:

Players to keep

RB Jerome Bettis, Steelers: Coach Bill Cowher will ride hot back, even against the Oilers' sixth-ranked rush defense.

RB Terry Allen, Redskins: NFC's leading rusher faces the Jets' No. 26 defense against the rush.

QB Brett Favre, Packers: Green Bay usually struggles in domes, but Pack will want to make Seahawks pay for last week's loss.

WR Andre Rison, Jaguars: Lack of running game has Jacksonville going deep and Carolina may let down after upset of 49ers.

Players to sit down

QB Trent Dilfer, Buccaneers: Tampa Bay has 45 points and Dilfer has thrown one touchdown pass.

RB Eddie George, Oilers: Rookie averages 4.9 yards per carry, but Steelers' defense excels at home.

WR Isaac Bruce, Rams: Until rookie QB Tony Banks improves, Bruce's talent will be wasted.
