Fallston wins in OT

September 26, 1996|By FROM STAFF REPORTS

Wilde Lake's sixth-ranked boys soccer team lost, 1-0, in overtime yesterday to visiting, unranked Fallston, whose goalkeeper, Dan Green, was examined at Howard County General Hospital and released after a kick to his head.

Midfielder Paul Kelly scored eight minutes into overtime, beating two defenders and Wilde Lake's keeper following Frank Bianco's 20-yard feed.

"It's an age-old story for us," said Wildecats coach Dave Nesbitt. "If I find one who can [score], he'll never graduate. I'll keep him until he's 21."
