Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Central District

Robbery: A man threatened to spray a woman with a chemical irritant before robbing her of $10 Tuesday in the 200 block of N. Calvert St.

Burglary: A videocassette recorder valued at $400 was stolen yesterday from a house in the 1300 block of Druid Hill Ave.

Western District

Drug arrest: An 18-year-old man was arrested near his home in the 1500 block of W. Fayette St. on Tuesday and charged with possession of three plastic bags of suspected marijuana.

Southwestern District

Assault: An ex-boyfriend struck a woman with the butt of a shotgun in the 4200 block of Edmondson Ave. on Tuesday. No arrest was made and the woman declined medical treatment.

Assault: A woman was hanging clothes on the line in the back yard of her home in the 3200 block of Westwood Ave. on Tuesday when several boys entered the yard and teased her dog. When the woman asked them to stop, one of the youths pointed a handgun at her. The youths fled, and the woman was not injured.

Northern District

Burglary: A videocassette recorder of unknown value was stolen Tuesday from a house in the 2900 block of Thorndale Ave.

Theft from vehicle: Stereo radio equipment valued at $600 was stolen Tuesday from a 1988 Ford parked in the first block of W. 20th St.

Robbery: An 81-year-old woman was assaulted by a man who stole her purse containing cash and property, all valued at $120, in the 3000 block of Old York Road on Tuesday.

Essex Precinct

Cab holdup: A man robbed a driver for Atwater Cab of nearly $60 Tuesday at the Country Ridge Shopping Center in the 1500 block of Country Ridge Lane. The man had a broken spatula, one end of which had been sharpened.

Cab holdup: Two men, one with a shotgun, and a woman robbed a driver for New Eastern Cab of more than $300 Tuesday in the 2200 block of Eastern Ave.

Cockeysville Precinct

Burglary: A chain saw and lawn equipment, all valued at more than $200, were stolen Tuesday from a garage in the 3900 block of Eland Road in Phoenix.

Woodlawn Precinct

Robbery: A woman was getting out of a car outside her home in the 1300 block of Vida Drive on Tuesday when a man who implied he has a weapon robbed her of cash and property, all valued at nearly $200.

Robbery: Two men robbed the McDonald's restaurant in the 6500 block of Security Blvd. on Tuesday night then forced several employees into a freezer. The employees walked out of the freezer minutes later.

Burglary: Jewelry and a television, all valued at $400, were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 1200 block of Martin Court.

Theft: A mountain bike valued at $25 was stolen Tuesday from a garage in the 5900 block of Talbot St.

Burglary: Property valued at nearly $500 was stolen Tuesday from a house in the 1500 block of Richglen Drive.

North Point Precinct

Theft: A purse containing jewelry and cash, all valued at more than $1,000, was stolen Tuesday from Sparrows Point High School in the 7400 block of North Point Road.
