Police arrested a 29-year-old Baltimore man yesterday in Columbia and charged him in connection with an armed carjacking in Baltimore County.

Michael Perry Carroll of the 1600 block of N. Borne St. is charged with stealing a 1995 Buick Rivera on Aug. 31, said Sgt. Steven Keller, a Howard County police spokesman. A warrant had been issued for his arrest.

About 10: 45 a.m., police received an anonymous call saying Carroll was going to be in the 9100 block of Bronze Bell Circle in Long Reach village.

Police found Carroll and a 15-year-old juvenile. When officers ran a check on a Buick nearby, they found it had been stolen.

The teen from Columbia, who is a relative of Carroll's, was charged with auto theft and felony theft, police said. The juvenile's name was not released.
