Sykesville: Firefighters responded at 6: 13 p.m. Thursday for a child locked in a car in the 6400 block of Ridge Road. Units were out 16 minutes.

Police

Eldersburg: Employees at a convenience store in the 1900 block of Liberty Road told police that someone stole 67 cartons of cigarettes and $8 between 6 p.m. and 6: 30 p.m. Tuesday. The loss was estimated at $1,449.

Sykesville: A resident of the 600 block of Blankner Road told police that someone stole a power mower from her driveway between 9 p.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. Thursday. The loss was estimated at $350.
