A brief account of the Baltimore County Liquor Board's fining the owner of a Middle River liquor store for selling beer to an underage youth incorrectly reported the actions of a county sheriff's deputy.

Two deputies stopped for directions at a drug store next door to Compass Liquors in the 100 block of Beacon Road on Aug. 2. Neither entered the liquor store nor bought beer.

The Sun regrets the errors.
