Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Central District

Burglary: Computer equipment valued at more than $9,000 was stolen yesterday from the city Department of Employment in the 200 block of E. Pleasant St. During the weekend, several people entered the building with keys and stole similar equipment valued at more than $6,000.

Theft from vehicle: At least 100 pagers, the property of American Pager Co. in Washington and valued at nearly $7,000, were stolen yesterday from a company vehicle parked in the 300 of W. Madison St.

Robbery: A Baltimore Gas and Electric Co. employee was walking on the skywalk above the 200 block of Light St. on Wednesday when a gunman robbed him of more than $80 and a pager.

Robbery: A man was in a restroom at the Light Street pavilion at Harborplace yesterday when three men, one with a sharp object, robbed him of $25.

Carjacking: Two men, one with a handgun, robbed a motorist of his 1992 Infiniti with tags CWD 708 when he was stopped at traffic light in the 2300 block of Eutaw Place yesterday.

Eastern District

Burglary: A television valued at nearly $300 was stolen yesterday from a house in the 2200 block of E. Preston St.

Stolen car: A 1989 Oldsmobile with handicap tags 07375 was stolen yesterday in the 1500 block of Holbrook St.

Southern District

Burglary: A professional carpet cleaner valued at more than $2,000 was stolen yesterday from a house in the 3100 block of Cherryland Road.

Northern District

Theft from vehicle: Computer equipment valued at $7,000 was stolen Wednesday from a 1996 Chevrolet Lumina in the first block of E. 23rd St.

Burglary: A 3-ton floor jack valued at nearly $80 was stolen from a garage in the 600 block of Chestnut Hill Ave. on Wednesday.

Northeastern District

Robbery: A student at Northern High School in the 2200 block of Pinewood Ave. was attacked by several male students in the cafeteria Wednesday and robbed of a gold necklace valued at more than $100. The victim was treated at St. Joseph Medical Center for an injured eye.

Essex Precinct

Bank robbery: A man robbed First Union National Bank in the 1400 block of Martin Blvd. on Wednesday.

Towson Precinct

Robbery: A Towson couple were in the 100 block of Allegheny Ave. on Wednesday when two men, one with a handgun, robbed them of cash and property, all valued at more than $700.

North Point Precinct

Theft/arrest: Police arrested a 16-year-old boy who entered a friend's apartment in the 6900 block of Eastern Ave. on Wednesday and stole clothing and two pagers, all valued at $300.

Theft/arrest: A 25-year-old man was arrested Wednesday when he tried to leave the Kmart in the 200 block of North Point Blvd. without paying for videotapes valued at $140.

Theft: Construction equipment valued at more than $2,000 was stolen Wednesday from a building site at Morse and Todd Point lanes.
