September 19, 1996

The driver of a Ford Bronco cut off a car driven by a Pasadena man on a residential street near Northeast High School Tuesday, punched the man several times and drove off.

The 18-year-old victim told police he did not know the driver of the Bronco or why the man attacked him. He was not injured.

The victim told police he was northbound on Notley Road near Pebblestone Road about 4: 30 p.m. when a man in a late-model Ford Bronco pulled in front of him and stopped, police said.

The man got out of his truck, approached, said, "Don't I know you?" and punched him in the face, neck and upper chest several times, police said.

The attack stopped when the victim fell toward the side of his 1992 Chevrolet, police said. The assailant got back into his truck and drove off, police said.
