Articles in the Sept. 15 and 18 editions of The Sun gave incorrect information about a car accident that killed Wybiena Uden, a 28-year-old exercise rider from Holland. The Sept. 13 accident occurred at the intersection of Dorsey Run Road and Junction Drive in Annapolis Junction in Howard County.

The Sun regrets the error.

A memorial service for a popular backstretch worker will be held tomorrow morning at Laurel Park.

Wybiena Uden, a 28-year-old exercise rider from Holland, was killed in a car wreck midday Friday on Brock Bridge Road near Laurel. She was leaving the Laurel track after exercising horses for trainer H. Graham Motion.

The service will begin at 11 a.m. tomorrow in the Laurel track kitchen.

"She was a very active girl with a charismatic personality," zTC Motion said yesterday. "She was the sort of person that wherever she went, she had a lot of friends."

Uden had planned on returning to Europe in a few weeks to study theater but wanted to watch Canaveral -- one of her favorite horses, and one of Motion's best -- race this Saturday in the Polynesian Stakes at Pimlico.

"She used to gallop all my good horses," Motion said. "But she was especially attached to Canaveral."
