Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Central District

Robbery: A man was walking near his home in the first block of E. Read St. yesterday when a man asked him for a cigarette. As the victim was about to give the man a cigarette, the man tore a cellular phone, valued at more than $100, from the victim's belt.

Thefts from cars: Property valued at more than $600 was stolen Sunday from two cars parked in the 300 block of Key Highway. Taken were two cellular phones, a radar detector and a pager.

Robbery: A gunman robbed a homeless man of nearly $80 and three pieces of jewelry Sunday in the 2200 block of Madison Ave.

Northern District

Robbery: A boy was riding his bike in the 800 block of E. Belvedere Ave. on Sunday when an older youth knocked him to the ground and stole the bike, valued at more than $100.

Robbery: A Bel Air man was in the 3400 block of Greenmount Ave. on Sunday when he was pushed to the ground by a man who robbed him of his wallet and cash, all valued at more than $100.

Robbery: A boy was riding his mountain bike in the 6000 block of York Road Sunday when another youth shoved him off the bike, valued at $200, and rode away.

Western District

Vandalism: Someone broke the windows of at least five cars parked outside the Maryland Army National Guard Armory in the 2600 block of Winchester St. on Sunday.

Robbery: A 14-year-old boy was riding his 26-inch bike near his home in the 1700 block of Riggs Ave. on Sunday when another boy with a handgun took the bike, valued at $500.

Vandalism: A 1988 Maxima was parked Sunday in the 1700 block of W. Lafayette Ave. where the radio antenna was broken and the body dented, causing at least $400 damage.

Theft: A 35 mm camera, camcorder, film and a camera case, all valued at nearly $600, were stolen Sunday from the bedroom of a house in the 2800 block of W. Lanvale St.

Robbery/arrest: A 26-year-old Glen Burnie man was in the 1500 block of Riggs Ave. on Sunday when a man robbed him of property valued at more than $300. Police arrested a suspect in the case.

Southwestern District

Carjacking: A motorist was stopped in the 2700 block of W. North Ave. on Sunday when two men, one with a handgun, forced him out of his red 1995 Mitsubishi Mirage with partial tags 337--- and drove off.

Essex Precinct

Robbery try: A man was riding his motor bike along a trail in the 10000 block of Bird River Road on Sunday when a man armed with a shotgun ordered him off the vehicle. When the cyclist continued, the gunman fired a shot into the air and fled.

North Point Precinct

Theft: Two mountain bikes with a combined value of more than $2,600 were stolen Sunday in the 8000 block of Gray Haven Road.

Vandalism: A pellet gun was fired at a house in the 2000 block of Holborn Road and a window valued at $200 was shattered Sunday night.

Towson Precinct

Burglary: Computer equipment valued at more than $2,000 was stolen between Saturday and Sunday from Hallmark Manufacturing Co. in the 6300 block of Falls Road.

Robbery: A gunman robbed the Subway restaurant in the 400 block of York Road of about $100 Sunday.

Slaying suspect sought: Brian K. German, 21, of the 3600 block of Raymonn Ave. has been charged in a warrant with first-degree murder in the death of Michael Coe, 21, of the 100 block of E. Madison St. The victim died Aug. 29 at Johns Hopkins Hospital of injuries he suffered when he was assaulted Aug. 10 in a house in the 100 block of E. Eager St. German also has addresses in the 100 block of W. Madison St. and the 900 block of W. 38th St.
