Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Central District

Attempted robbery/arrest: A 22-year-old man was in custody yesterday after being charged with the attempted armed robbery Monday of two men in the 1900 block of Mount Royal Terrace. The robber reportedly fired a handgun, but no one was injured. The suspect, Thomas E. Ball of the 2100 block of Division St., also was charged with assaulting Officer John Brandt, who made the arrest.

Carjacking: Two men, one with a handgun, stopped a motorist Tuesday in the 2000 block of Pennsylvania Ave., ordered him out of his 1986 Mercury with tags CXV 713 and drove it away.

Stolen car: A 1997 Ford with tags DRJ 503 was stolen Tuesday in the 2200 block of Druid Hill Ave.

Stolen car: A two-door red 1986 Toyota with tags PCT 094 was stolen Tuesday in the 200 block of N. Greene St.

Northeastern District

Robbery: Two men assaulted a 15-year-old boy in the 3900 block of Dudley Ave. on Tuesday and robbed him of $10.

Burglary: Property of unknown value was stolen Tuesday from a house in the 5200 block of Saybrook Road by someone who entered through a kitchen window.

Northern District

Destruction of property: While in the emergency room at Union Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, a man became disorderly and slammed his head into a window, breaking it. The man was charged with malicious destruction of property.

Burglary: A lawn mower, chairs, a table and other property, all valued at more than $1,200, were stolen Tuesday from a shed in the 3800 block of Hickory Ave.

Western District

Burglary: Someone entered an apartment in the 1700 block of Gwynns Falls Parkway through a rear door Tuesday and stole a television, bike and camera, together valued at nearly $340.

Theft from vehicle: Police were seeking a man who stole property valued at $70 Tuesday from car parked in the 2700 block of Franklin St.

Northwestern District

Arrest: Police were in the 5100 block of Park Heights Ave. on Tuesday seeking a man who reportedly had a handgun when they spotted and searched a man with a bulge in his waistband. Police confiscated a loaded Browning 9mm semiautomatic handgun from the man. The gun was reported stolen in Anne Arundel County in 1993. Charged with a handgun offense was Gregory Simuns, 31, of the 3700 block of W. Garrison Ave.

Robbery: A man from the 3700 block of Liberty Heights Ave. was in the 3900 block of Dolfield Ave. on Tuesday when a gunman robbed him of cash and jewelry, all valued at nearly $800.

North Point Precinct

Theft/arrests: Police arrested two women Tuesday when they attempted to leave Santoni's grocery store in the 100 block of Kinship Road without paying for merchandise.

Towson Precinct

Robbery: An employee of the Pizza Hut in the 1600 block of E. Joppa Road was walking toward her car Tuesday before making a night deposit at a nearby bank when a man armed with a knife forced her to give up a bank bag. The man escaped with nearly $500 in cash and checks.

Woodlawn Precinct

Burglary: Property of unknown value was stolen Tuesday from a house in the 700 block of Charing Cross Road.

Murder suspect arrested: Tyrone Wilson, 18, of the 2300 block of Poplar Grove St., was arrested on a warrant yesterday charging him with first-degree murder. He was accused of fatally shooting Tyrone Alston, 43, of the 2200 block of N. Rosedale St. on July 29 in the 1000 block of Bethune Road.
