Ellicott City: 8600 block of Ridge Road: Someone heard loud noises at a front door early Saturday and saw a car driving off and later found a large boot print on the front door.

Ellicott City: 4200 block of Montgomery Road: Someone returned home Friday morning and saw the lock assembly and hinge on a barn door had been pried and detached from the barn.

Elkridge: 6400 block of Skipton Drive: A shed behind a house was entered and a weed cutter was stolen between Aug. 18 and Aug. 23, but there were no signs of forced entry.

Elkridge: 5700 block of Railroad Ave.: Someone entered an unlocked storage shed and stole three dirt bikes late Sunday or early Monday.

Ellicott City: 8600 block of U.S. 40: The used-car office at O'Donnell Honda was entered early Sunday and a key box was pried open.

Ellicott City: 5600 block of Main St.: Someone forced in the door of a garage at Ingersol Rand Equipment and stole cash and a flashlight.

Elkridge: 6200 block of Sandpiper Court: A white 1991 Ford Mustang with Maryland tags CHG514 was stolen Saturday night or Sunday morning.
