Police arrested a 21-year-old Baltimore man Sunday after receiving an anonymous tip about a drug deal at the Normandy Bowling Alley in Ellicott City.

Waheed Rehman Rhattak of the Lodge Road was charged with distributing about $19,000 worth of crack cocaine, according to police. He was being held yesterday on $25,000 bond at the Howard County Detention Center.

The caller told police that a middle-eastern male in his mid-20s with dark hair and driving a late model green car was going to meet someone at a phone behind the gas station in front of the bowling alley at 4: 30 p.m. that day, police said.

Rhattak arrived in a green late-model Ford that day. A police surveillance team watched him talk with another person at the phone and then give him a paper bag.

An officer overheard Rhattak say that the package was "all hard," indicating it was crack cocaine, said police spokesman Sgt. Steven Keller.
