Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Eastern District

Shooting: A 16-year-old boy and a 9-year-old girl were each shot in a leg Saturday night while standing in the 200 block of N. Duncan St. Both were listed in good condition yesterday at the University of Maryland Medical Center. Police said the boy appeared to be the target of an unknown gunman.

Western District

Robbery: A man with a knife robbed Rice's Grocery in the 2400 block of Arunah Ave. of $60 Saturday before driving away in a 1981 Chevrolet with tags CJM 017.

Robbery: A man was struck with a baseball bat by an assailant and robbed of more than $400 Saturday near his home in the 1800 block of Laurens St.

Burglary: Someone entered a house in the 2500 block of Druid Hill Ave. through a front window Saturday and stole a television valued at more than $200.

Robbery: A 52-year-old man was in the 1200 block of N. Fulton Ave. on Saturday when two men, one with a handgun, robbed him of nearly $200.

Stabbing: A 22-year-old man was in the 2500 block of Edmondson Ave. on Saturday when a man stabbed him in the left shoulder with a kitchen knife. The victim was released after hospital treatment.

Stolen car: A green 1993 Dodge Shadow with tags 920 ADC was stolen Saturday in the first block of N. Payson St.

Southwestern District

Robbery: A man was in the 900 block of N. Rosedale St. on Saturday when a gunman robbed him of $300.

Central District

Theft from vehicle: Someone entered a car parked in the 2100 block of Etting St. Saturday and stole a cellular phone valued at nearly $200.

Theft from truck: A hammer drill, its case and drill bits, all valued at more than $250, were stolen Saturday from a 1986 Ford truck parked in the 300 block of McMechen St.

Burglary/robbery: An intruder entered a house in the 800 block of Tyson St. early Saturday and robbed the female occupant of $15 and a four-piece setting of glassware.

Essex Precinct

Barricade/arrest: Joseph James Osburn,24, of the 1600 block of Rickenbacker Road was arrested Saturday afternoon after barricading himself in his apartment for about five hours after he allegedly stabbed his roommate in the neck with a 4-foot sword VTC during an argument. The roommate, Kevin Harrell, 34, was listed stable condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center yesterday. Police forcibly entered the apartment to arrest Osburm, who was charged with assault with intent to murder.

North Point Precinct

Theft: Someone stole more than $400 from the cash register at Halloween Adventures at Eastpoint Mall on Saturday.

Theft: A carpet cleaner valued at more than $200 was stolen Saturday from the Ames department store at Eastpoint Mall.

Burglary: A microwave oven and groceries, all valued at $200, were stolen Saturday from a house in the 100 block of Weber Ave. by someone who entered through a side window.

Parkville Precinct

Burglary: Someone entered a house in the 9300 block of Innsbruck Way on Saturday through a basement door and stole more than $1,000.

Cockeysville Precinct

Burglary/arrest: A man entered a house in the 9800 block of Monroe St. through a basement window Saturday and stole $60 worth of meat and poultry products from a freezer. The man was caught inside the house and arrested without incident. Charged with burglary was John Cheeseman, 22, of no fixed address.
