Evelyn Pinchback, 67, homemaker, city resident

Evelyn Pinchback, a homemaker and Baltimore resident for more than 50 years, died Saturday of a blood clot at Union Memorial Hospital. She was 67.

She was born Evelyn Cole in Elizabeth City, N.C., moved to West Baltimore in 1945 and worked at several domestic jobs until 1952, when she married George Pinchback Sr. He died in 1988.

After 1969, she lived in Northeast Baltimore. Mrs. Pinchback enjoyed cooking and was active with the Solid Rock Church on West North Avenue.

Services are scheduled for 7 p.m. today at Leroy Dyett Funeral Home, 4600 Liberty Heights Ave.

She is survived by five sons, George Pinchback Jr., Charles Pinchback, Garry Pinchback, Steven Pinchback and Drew Pinchback, all of Baltimore; two daughters, Margaret Saunders and Elaine Baker, both of Baltimore; five brothers, Robert Cole and Joseph Cole, both of Baltimore, Louis Cole and Wallace Cole, both of Long Island, N.Y., and George Lee Cole of Steubenville, Ohio; a sister, Barbara Jean Turner of Elizabeth City, N.C.; 16 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
