Two men are charged in double-shooting

MIDDLE RIVER -- Two men remain in police custody last night in connection with the shotgun-shooting of two people Tuesday night in an argument over a woman, Baltimore County police said.

Charged with assault with intent to murder and held without bail is James David Abate, 19, of the 5600 block of Biddison Ave. in Baltimore. Held in lieu of $10,000 bond and charged as an accessory after the fact on suspicion of hiding the weapon is Larry Lee Bullock, 19, of the 100 block of Compass Road in Middle River.

Michael Tiffner, 17, of the first block of Taxi Way and William Burke, 18, of the 1300 block of Queens Purchase Road, both in Middle River, were in an apartment in the 200 block of Middleway Road about 11 p.m. Tuesday when each was shot, during an argument over the woman.

Police said both victims were listed in stable condition yesterday at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
