Man arrested on burglary, weapon charges

September 04, 1996

County police arrested a Baltimore man Monday on charges of breaking into an acquaintance's home in Brooklyn Park, taking a shotgun and threatening the woman and her friend.

Danny Irin Tully, 23, of the 3900 block of Fairhaven Ave. was charged with two counts of burglary and illegal possession of a deadly weapon.

Debbie D. Thompson, 31, of the 5200 block of Wasena Ave. called police shortly after 2: 30 p.m. and told them she had caught a man leaving her home with about $30 worth of pots and pans.

She said she confronted the man, took back her property and ordered him out of the house. After the man left, Thompson went to visit a neighbor a block away.

The man showed up at the neighbor's house moments later and held a shotgun from Thompson's house on both women as he told her he did not like Thompson's talking to the neighbor, police said. The man left, and Thompson called police.

When officers arrived, they found a man leaving Thompson's house with the shotgun. When he spotted them, he ducked back inside and came out again unarmed, police said.

They arrested the man.
