Bucks: Named Bob Weinhauer, Mike Woodson and Jim Todd assistant coaches. Weinhauer had been Rockets VP of basketball operations until resigning yesterday.

Trail Blazers: Signed G Reggie Jordan, who had been with Hawks.


Boise State: RB Marlin Carey was declared academically ineligible.

Clemson: NCAA suspended DE Trevor Pryce, school's top pass-rusher, two games for unspecified rules violation.

Dayton: Basketball G Tony Stanley was ruled academically ineligible to accept scholarship.

Miami: Suspended RB Danyell Ferguson and WR Yatil Green from football team indefinitely, pending investigation into whether they accepted rides in limousine ordered through office of a sports agent.

Southern California: Basketball G Gary Johnson transferred from Brown Mackie. Announced that football RB Delon Washington has been declared ineligible for additional two games by NCAA.


Canadiens: Named Benoit Allaire goaltending coach.

Coyotes: Announced limited affiliation agreement with IHL Las Vegas for 1996-97.

Whalers: Signed C Kent Manderville to pro tryout contract.

World Cup of Hockey: Suspended Canada LW Brendan Shanahan one game for high-sticking vs. Russia.
